Rock 100.5

Perhaps I'm just being biased considering my taste in radio generally leaning rock but I have seen a lot of strings expressing unhappiness with wnnx. Rock 100.5 is much different than the river simply because of it's lean towards classic rock. They dig deeper with the tracks, have a much wider variety of classic rock than the river, and play classic rock artist that the river would never play. The river could dominate Atlanta without 100.5 if they would add some deeper classic cuts from artist they already play like Elton John, Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd. They could also add artist like Deep Purple, Jethro Tull and Rush. Of course, if they made these changes, they would no longer be classic hits, instead it would be classic rock. One idea would be to change 106.7 over to a classic rock format (similar to 106.5 in Chattanooga) and switch 100.5 over to all sports. With this setup, the classic rock format would have a similar coverage to 97.1 the river and would also have a better chance in beating them in ratings. 106.7 tower is located near Dacula and stretches out south to Macon and west to Heflin Alabama. Just an idea.

With regards to 99x moving to 99.1; This will not last long. 97.9 has a better coverage by far. I had issues getting 99.1 in Dekalb county!

Totally agree.
99.1 is a mess unless you are withing about 5-10 miles of the site. WDEN always is present in the Atlanta air space. But like I said in another post 97.9 has issues with WIBB in Macon, and believe it or not WSIX in Nashville sometimes, especially on the NW side.
