Rock 101, The Classic Rock Station, is 24-years Old Today! Yes,...us, the chosen few, were there. From 6a-to-8a, we ran a bunch of noise, as if a computer was resetting or recalculating, and then the new ID at 8am, and launched it with "Layla".
Hey!...it's a good thing. However, if you mention it to anyone that works there they ain't gonna understand. Since February, those Boobs have been celebrating 20-years. The call letters didn't turn twenty, until September. The original calls, WCKN, were changed in September of 1991. Yep,...still on the air, but a pale reflection of what it was! I don't listen anymore, but it still troubles me.
