Rock 103.9, Aggieland's Rock Station

Up in Bellville this evening, and ran across this flipping through the dial. When did KJXK ditch Jack FM and become an active rocker?

I was listening for awhile when up in Austin County. Definitely different than The X, as you said. Kind of reminded me of 97.7 Rock in San Antonio. Now that you mention it, as I recall 103-9 The X was flipped to Jack because the ownership couldn't make money with rock music and decided to cut costs by going to the jockless Jack. I wonder what changed their mind?
