Did anybody hear what transpired this morning? Bubba told the PD to take his show off the air and the PD did. Do you think this was a stunt? Do you think this is priming the station to bring Lex and terry back and Bubba goes over to X?

If that's the case, I'd literally LMAO. Bubba in his own words has "Kicked Lex & Terry's ass in every market I've ever gone head to head with them"

Do L&T really matter anymore ... they've failed in all of Florida's major markets. Better to take the route I suggested for Bubba - the Bob and Tom model - be really successful in a 100+ small/mid-sized markets ... i.e. strive to be ... "Mid Central Iowa's Home for Lex and Terry n the Morning and the Best Classic Rock of All Time".

That's kinda funny. Sounds like a typical stunt to me, shows know when contracts aren't being renewed and it gives them an opportunity to save face. Jim Rome once RAGGED on WBWL for taking his show off the air. The entire last hour of the last day airing it he talked trash about Jacksonville as a city. Howard Stern told his minions to call the Lex & Terry Show when they replaced him in Panama Beach, FL... they called for a week and even got on the air a few times. One time, Bubba sent over two people to Hogan Road, the old address for Rock 105 and had a guy with a microphone heckle them on the air. First time I'd ever seen a guy devote his entire show to messing with another show. So Bubba "telling" a station to take his show off their air? Funny, but definately a gag me thinks.
