Is FYV going to wait until Clear Channel puts L&T on to make a move? The best talent in America appears to be wide open and available in Jax, and that is Mancow. Give the King of Free Media 3 months head start and as Mburg would say "Let's see what will happen."

Uh, Mancow should consider breaking Top 5 in his own market first.

i gotta admit i love your posts, so i won't be too hard on you...but mancow is a hack! he was a wanna-be shock jock forever until the superbowl fiasco. suddenly the fcc starts to crack down and he goes political because of his relationship with fox news. blech. he is a hypocrite of the largest variety, and furthermore, has only been legitimately successful in 2 or 3 markets. i'd rather hear a 4 hour test tone than mancow.

But in all due respect, I don't think you can last all those years in the 3rd market and be a hack! I see this Mancow as the FM version of Limbaugh, pushing the envelope further. Like the style or not, I think it would be a good fit here in Jax!

Maybe COX could even beat Clear Channel to the punch and turn 104.5 into a second news/talker and control the competition with flanking! Kind of like QIK and ROO will forever keep a 3rd Country station at bay!

What would be your call, I'd like to know?

You know they could hire a local morning guy! Naaaaah!

He didn't. He lasted those years as a "shock jock". since his own little personal version of a format flip, his ratings have been sinking. trn is doing everything they can to syndicate him to markets but it is not looking like its doing well.

I see this Mancow as
