Rock 92.3

Whats up with this station. It had potential, it really did.

*Are they active rock or alternative? They spin Mumford and Sons- The Cave, but not Foster the People-Pumped up Kicks
*They spin reccurents as heavy as currents, for example they are still spinning the hell out of Muse- Uprising
*No jocks, even vt'ed, outside of morning drive
*No energy, the station just sounds boring, no flow.

Sorry to Jason Ginty for being so harsh, but you can do better.

I think they are going for the modern rock thing even though they have become more active as of late.

I like Ginty, but yeah, when I compare it to KRDJ, I keep going back to that station as it's alot more fun in a smaller market and when Rock 92.3 came on the air and on Facebook, most people requested a station like that .

They actually getting a better flow in the last 2 weeks compared to before but yeah ... Do some man on the street questioning and they'd find that most want a station that is more like KRDJ

Everybody's different - I think Rock 92-3 finally got it right for NOLA. Previous attempts by others sucked (especially 104.1). I travel quite a bit and always listened to somewhat similar stations in the region (Hattiesburg's "Fox Rocks") & Pensacola's TK101. The only problem with those is the throwing in of the same two songs by ACDC, Journey, Zep, Van Halen etc. If I want classic rock I will find it. I like the mix on 92-3 and keep trying KRDJ and never can stay for more than a couple of songs - ending up back at 92-3. I would rather no dj's than distant vt-ing (like what 104.1 tried).

I travel a lot and get to hear a lot of modern rock/alternative stations. I just find 92.3 stale compared to alot of other stations out there. I dont know what it will take for them to find ratings success. 104.1 had higher numbers, but leaned on a heavily gold based playlist. I still dont know why citadel killed 1067 The End. I seem to recall they were marginally more successful in the ratings.

As far as I know only the nighttime show is VTed in on 93.7

I listen all around also, and I love stations that are more harder edged.

I will say last few weeks I've been tuning in more to rock 92.3 as they are starting to add more newer rock and is moving away from some of the alternative

But my issue is if you are current based, Why is it most of your playlist is recurrants like KYRK was? This is one of the things that ticks me off about New Orleans Rock radio as only recently are new songs below the top 20 are being added as before it had to almost be in the top 5 to add. If you remember KKND was proud in the fact they added the new music further back in the charts.

I'm sorry but those stations still doing a active rock play way more current chart stuff. I'm still trying to figure what kind of station they are trying to format at times but as of lately it sounds more like a active rocker with some alt. cuts
