ROCK 93.7 Lafayette/BR has a new morning show with GATOR and a cajun sidekick Dr Edgar J Costat.......My sources say GM Chuck Wood is overlyanal and questions the content while the show is in progress......I know some morning show hosts that wouldn't tolerate break by break meddling. Comments ?
 
Chuck Wood needs to meddle more in Bobby Novasad's sad, pathetic show.

By the way, where does 93.7 show up in the Arbitron? I would think any meddling would help when you're on the bottom. Wood is a Lafayette veteran. Listen to his advice, filter the garbage, and, if you have talent, do your show your way. If you don't have listeners, you'll be unemployed anyway, but, at least, you'll know that you gave it your best (if that helps you sleep better when you're unemployed).

The word is Bobby Novosad's sad, pathetic show is number one 18-34. Tied #1 12-24 with KRKA's Dazed & Confused Playhouse. The cume is to the moon. The station is number one. Everything can always better. What happened? Did he take a few shares from you? Maybe when you used to be in the market?

But for my insomnia, I'd swear I'm dreaming. Some actual EXCITEMENT on this board again. Even with the vitriol level a little high for my geriatric stomach, fun to find here in middle-nacht!
 
If my morning man was named "Gator" I would have to micromanage him too...

Gene Nelson, who invented micromanagement, would have been on the hotline immediately. I can hear him now: "The ears of Baton Rouge are bleeding from the f**king you just gave them!" He was a real believer in positive reinforcement.
 
My sources now say Mr Wood is encouraged by a flood of positive calls at the switchboard and and is even hugging and kissing his new morning team. Worth noting, sensitive to Deaths critique ,Gator and the Dr have changed their names to Turd Hustler and Capt Pecker !
 
This is Gator's wife. I like to come here and read what's going on, he never does and calls it a bathroom wall, where people hide behind phony screen names and rip on people when in some cases when they don't have or know the truth or the facts and are just being down right mean. I can tell you this about my husband, he was born and raised in Lafayette and has had a track record of taking morning shows from worse to first, (in big and small markets) that I think any morning show air personality would be proud of. I know I certainly am. After 19 yrs of marriage, I am however glad he has decided to come home and stay. I have never seen him happier. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to email me and I'll answer any questions you may have. By the way, Chuck Wood isn't micromanaging Gator, like anyone could...lol! Matter of fact, apparently Chuck and Gator are working very well together along with the PD Jason Ginty in New Orleans and things seem to be going very well.
 
Yesterday I heard Monster Magnet at 5:20 in the afternoon......SUCK IT PLANET RADIO!!!!!
 
Yeah, playing a New Jersey band that never had a major hit is really showin' 'em! Come on, this station is largely VT and programmed 150 miles away. BTW, why does the GM's name always come up when any mention of Gator is made? From their website, similar in tone to what is posted here already, dont'cha think?

According to Gator, "Chuck Wood is the only V.P. General Manager with a big enough set to turn me lose and allow me to win for him too! And for that I will always be grateful to not only him, but Citadel Broadcasting for allowing in time for me to do MY SHOW, MY WAY!"

His show...12 songs an hour? And whats up with playing "Nearly Lost You" twice this morning? I listened this morning to hear what all the fuss was about. That's enough.
