Rock 93.9 stunting

Playing classic rock with the annoucement: Less than 24 hours until we change forever-Jackson's classic rock. (or something like that)

Rock939.com has a countdown clock to the big annoucement at 6AM monday morning. Get your tape recorders ready.

please don't go classic rock...we've already got, what? 2 classic rock stations? wstz and wjkk (somewhat) what is a 3rd going to gain in this small of a market?

Looks like the new owners probably want some white 25-54 numbers pronto. I speculate - Bob & Tom mornings with a classic rock format that's a shade different from Z106.7, and maybe the hope of eventually pushing Z out of the format.

I noticed WRXW's stunting this afternoon, too!

Last month, WRXW was acquired by Inner City Broadcasting, which already owns five other Jackson stations: WJMI (99 Jams), WJNT (NewsTalk 1180), WKXI (Kixie 107), WOAD-AM (Gospel 1300) and -FM (Power 105.9).

WWJK (94-7 Jack FM)--WRXW's former sister station--was acquired by New South Radio last month.
