What has happend to Rock 93.9? Z 106 is killing them. I know the stick isn't very powerful but, cmon. That's sad.

Thats an easy one. New rock sucks ;D Well so does the 200 song classic rock format ;DSo I really dont know :D

It's all Lex and Terry's fault...

I can't stand listening to them. I have to listen to Y101 in the mornings now...

Not all new rock sucks. And anyways, you can cut back on the new rock and play more 90's alternative and rock. Can't be just the morning show either. Lex and Terry get huge ratings in most of the markets they are in. In Savannah, without L&T, WFXH would hardly have any ratings at all.

I agree with everyone on this thread. It sucks. especially Lex and Terry. Maybe I'm a nitpicker but I refuse to listen to an FM station that sounds like an over processed AM station. Lex and Terry sound so tubby it sounds like they are talking into a bucket. I can't stand stations that do that. Whats the point of having high fidelity FM, when so many stations are not "hi fidelity" anymore. Just loud. I remember how smooth ZZQ sounded. And they played records.

That was back before processing became dangerous. All you wanted to do then was protect the peaks and maybe compress a little. Now you get to monkey with every little parameter and squish to .5dB of dynamic range with the simple turn of a single knob. Not to say one of these in the right hands can't sound exceptional, but many of the right hands and good ears have moved on.
