Almost slipped under the radar, but RESN is now OTA in Columbus on the primary channel of WDEM-CD (channel 17), a low-power digital subchannel coatrack owned by Innovate/DTV. They also added play-by-play of the Columbus Fury, an upstart pro volleyball team.
With WDEM-CD being owned by Innovate/HC2, I can just imagine what the picture quality of a game will look like under the slightest movement.
I'm pretty sure Gray, which has no on-air presence in Columbus, is paying attention to the on-air performance of WDEM-CD. It'll be the worst-kept secret. The Cavs' contract with FanDuel Sports Ohio runs through the end of this season and the team is all but telegraphing that they want to go elsewhere.
