Rock far from Dead in Philly

One rock station in the top five, the other only a few slots under, both have a combined share of 8.6. The amazing thing is these stations are really bad, music, jocks and overall presentation. If somebody did it right, they would go through the roof. Anyone agree???

Hard to argue with your logic; I agree whole-heartedly. Perhaps YSP will make some bold moves with Stern out/Kidd in...MMR will take some chances with their high-priced Morning Men...or, someone else will step up to the plate. It's just going to take a Linc Field-sized set of brass ones to take that first step.

Also, let me point out that the people who THINK rock is dead are the people who only WISH rock was dead. But, that's another battle for another day...<P ID="signature">______________

I agree, why in market #6 can we not have a good rock station...like 105.9 The X in Pittsburgh, DC 101, or O-Rock 105.9 in Orlando. YSP and MMR both are okay at best. Definitely could be taken down if done properly....how about one of those lame Clear Channel stations do it...102.1/104.5/106.1 The Edge. Something like that.
