Columbia stations are no longer carried on cable in Rock Hill, York, Chester, or Lancaster. Thankfully, with a good antenna, at least WIS and WOLO can be received easily. The Charlotte stations do not totally ignore South Carolina, but it is not the same as having an in-state station (even better if it's from the capital city) for news, sports, and so on.

Yes, WMYT is technically licensed to Rock Hill, but in actual fact, they're a Charlotte station. Presumably the FCC wouldn't see York, Chester, and Lancaster as being "orphan counties".

Cheraw cable (Chesterfield County) still carries WIS.
