WEBN's numbers were massive!!! Third highest cumer in the market (missed second place by a mere 300 listeners) and #4 overall in 6+ AQH share. Undoubtedly, their numbers were helped by the Bengals.
One of the biggest surprises, though, has got to be 96Rock. Their quiet transition from Active Rock to predominantly Modern Rock appears to have been the right move. They cracked the Top 10, are in a virtual 4-way tie with The Fox, WKRC, and Rewind in 6+ AQH share, and they even beat Q102 by a few tenths of a share!
They are only four tenths behind Kiss.
If it were not for Bonneville's decision to kill The Sound, 96Rock likely would have been toast by now, because they were getting their butts handed to them trying to go toe-to-toe with EBN.
94-1's ratings are still sluggish, but they fared a bit better with PPM than under the diary system.
The Classic Rock / Classic Hits stations also did very well in the December PPMs vis-a-vis their performances under the diary system.
