Rocket 95.1 50kw?

Why are they running an ID saying "The Valley's 50,000 watt blowtorch"?
they are only 12kw... is 50kw even possible for this frequency, with a 94.9 over in the Shoals area, and a 95.3 to the south?
______________

Is it sort of based on antenna height?

The WKXK 96.7 half of the WKXN/WKXK duo does the same thing, though it's actually licensed for 41kw.
______________

WRTT is class C2, which can operate up to 50 kw @ a maximum height of 492 ft. Stations broadcasting higher than 492 ft have to reduce power to compensate for the additional height (radio-locator shows WRTT broadcasting at 909 ft). "50,000-watt blowtorch" sounds a lot better than a "12,000-watt blowtorch", don't ya think? :)

I suppose, they are in a pretty good location, everything else on drake mountain seems to get out pretty far, I was looking at the River's contour from drake at 8.5kw, compared to the 100kw from Tuscumbia with a low antenna, (and by the way, anyone over in the Tuscumbia area, how well does 100.3 make it over there?) pretty much the same distance. It is kinda confusing though when you know their actual power.

On what Biblical or Scriptural basis do you make this claim? Not wanting to start a theological argument. I'm just curious.

When they were Christian station WNDA, they ran 50kw from a short tower. At the time, studio and transmitter were on 9th avenue.
