Rocket 95.1 DJ

Heard that Rocket 95.1 in Huntsville recently fired their evening DJ, Fatguy. I believe he had only been there for about a month and a half. I thought he was pretty good. He was entertaining, played some different music than what you would normally hear on the Rocket, and he did a lot to help promote local music. I'm not sure what the powers that be are thinking at that station.

Actually, I've never been impressed with the way the Rocket has been run. Jimbo Wood has been Program Director there since it started in 2000. The station has always been stale and non-adventurous. Maybe it's time for a change. Granted, I know that Jimbo doesn't make all of the decisions and probably has his hands tied somewhat, but I think that there is some room for improvement.
