WAZS (980) in Summerville, which played a good 50s-70s oldies format for the last two or three years, has changed formats, back to Spanish, a simulcast of the same programming on 1480 AM and 98.9 FM.

The website is still up, but nothing has been updated in the last few weeks, since they lost that House Divided talk show.

It had a .6 rating, beating several other AMs, but Jabar wanted to take it into another direction.
 
It was kind of expected, as 95.9 is much more powerful than the weak 980 signal, which is really only a 12 hour/day signal in most of the Lowcountry, except for the Summerville area. 98.9 has also been much weaker the last few days, as now, I can barely hear them on the Isle of Palms.

Did something happen to their transmitter?
