It actually <u>was</u> processed the same as when it was 106-7 The End. I listened to them off and on since the first hour they came back on the air as Rockin' Country.
Funny thing, we had them on at work. It was a Friday evening and they were playing some song by Tim McGraw when an engineer started to make adjustments to the audio processing. First, the treble popped in extremely high... so high it was sibilant and distorted for about a minute. It was during that time, you could hear the release time, clipping, etc. was being slowed down and toned down. When he was done (about a minute or so later), the treble was snapped back down to normal and the station was not as compressed as it was. It's been that way ever since.
IMO they should've left the processing the way it was at first (like on The End) because it made them sound like they were loud and rockin.
