So, for those who listen, what do you think?
Based on the first report (listening to it on tape now, didn't have time to hear it live), it doesn't seem to fit the show... Rocky and Blaine have been known to care less about anything that is not funny or story worthy, and this includes real news and celebrity segments. Part of the fun of the show is that it's a nice fun diversion that does not take itself too seriously...you have a Dick and his Mom segment, and then...... 'The Stock market fell 5% today....' ? Doesn't fit. I wonder how she's going to handle following a Monkey Alert siren/story?
The lady seems nice enough. She seems willing to joke around with the guys a bit ala Bil Evans....but based on the first listen at the first hour....I dunno.. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out. I think it would work better if she turns into the showbiz reporter on the show, however, rather than regular news..
And WTF is that 30 second add spot at the end of the segment? Does everything have to be sponsored these days? That's really gotta go...
