Rod Fritz on WBZ firing

That’s what a business does, it makes business decisions. This should teach everyone to never be loyal to a company as they will cut you at the first opportunity.

Ain't that the truth! Used to be you would come out of high school, start with a company and could retire from said company....those were the days.....back in the 90's I saw 30 and 40 year home improvement company guys get their walking papers, so sad, some where literally weeks away from retiring, some months away....back then you'd get a party and a watch or some such recognition but then it changed and it was sad to see these guys pack up their stuff and be escorted out of the building....I lasted ten years and then it was my turn to be escorted out of the building. Interesting thing though...the morning me and 80 others got our walking papers, all the executives had parked their cars in a secure area of the parking lot with a security guard to keep watch to make sure us peasants didn't do anything to their property, none of us really noticed when we were going into the building but it hit us like a ton of bricks when we were leaving the building and we just laughed at them.

There was a time when people would retire with a pension. These days, the only people I know who get a pension are government workers and people in the union. I suspect that's the situation here.
