Rodriguez firing coverage

What does the board think of the way the reports of the firing of Rich Rodriguez rolled out the other day? Fox 2, in a rush to be first, seemed to report that he was fired well before this was a fact. More than 24 hours before it was a fact. Mike Austerman of Michiguide reported that the Free Press jumped on the bandwagon but then caught itself by changing the report to indicate that the "decision" had been made to fire him as opposed to the actual firing.

While it seemed like a foregone conclusion that RichRod was out it seems like the gun was jumped by at least a few outlets.
