Roll Over Beethoven/Hooked On Bach

Nassau's President Lou indicated that some stations in "New England" would be folded into the Classical network once they closed on WCRB, Boston. What NH/VT stations do you think will be riding the Nassau Classical Gas Express? ??? (All puns intended. Void where prohibited.)

Does it really matter where the programming originates AS LONG AS IT'S GOOD? ???

To be honest, I'm starting to find that the oboe concertos, trio sonatas and a few of the pompous piano pieces are beginning to get a little boring? [I realize that some of these are used as "filler music" during commercial stopsets, but they revert back to the old theory that most classical music HAS to sound tired?].

I still can't understand why there isn't a block of "classical music programming" that's devoted to FILM SCORES and SOUNDTRACKS? Listen to the orchestrations and you'll find that most are 'structured classically', but written in the 20th (or 21st) century!

Listen closely and you'll also discover that there were plenty of "classical composers" (Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Aaron Copland, Ralph Vaughn Williams to name 3) who provided us with some terrific melodic melodies that were integrated into films?

I'll bet a FILM SCORE or SOUNDTRACK format would appeal to a few advertisers? Assuming it's not "buried on a Sunday night" or when most people have gone to bed? ::)
