Rome vacation hosts?

I heard Rome today say that he was going on vacation after todays show. Has he said anything about who is going to be hosting during those two weeks? I'd really like to hear John Feinstein, but I don't know if he is going to be doing it.

I usually don't listen to Rome when he's out, but I do listen if Lampley and Bayless are on. Though I'll admit that he should let it go (like I did), I like it when Bayless ticks off Ohio State fans about the phantom call in the national title game with Miami.

It probably won't be just Jim Rome who will be on vacation.

Over the next three weeks, almost all of the nationally-syndciated hosts, sports or non-sports, will be off on vacation.

The week of July 4th, I would think that virtually no nationally-syndicated hosts will be doing live shows.

But then again, the week of July 4th is the closest thing to a "national vacation week" this country has, with nearly half of the workforce on vacation that week. I do know that the week of July 4th has the least number of TV viewers of any week of the year; I'd suspect that the same holds true for talk radio (sports or otherwise).

Better rush to jim rome.com so I can pay to hear all of the "epic" interviews I missed. Yep, my IPOD space is just screaming to load Rick Fox when I'm on vacation at Gitmo!
Rack me..I'm stupid like the other clones.

WAR MORONS!!!

Tim Brando of Sporting News will also be on vacation.

I rarely ever listen to Rome and do only when I have the misfortune of leaving my SkyFi somewhere. For sportstalk during that time of day, the Czabe replay is much better, although he said something about going on vacation soon as well.

You seem to be familiar with all of the jungle lingo for some-one who hates the guy so much.

Wow! Roger Lodge filling in for Rome. Great. A guy who failed miserably trying to do local radio on a station no one heard him on in LA, now filling in for Rome.
Guess it pays to set-up Rome's flunky support staff with some bad blind dates, huh? Rack him, he's BAD!!!!!

What is with all the freaking Rome haters on here? Go ahead and listen to boring-ass Dan Patrick ask the predictable rotation of Peter Gammons, Buster Olney, Sean Salisbury and Bill Walton how their kids are doing and tell them he'll see them again tomorrow because that's about all the freaking guests he has. Yeah, that's compelling radio all right.
Sorry Rome's different ... isn't that what everyone b*tches about, that corporate radio is all the same?
