Ron Bain

Ron Bain who held various high-profile jobs at CBS and NBC, died early this week. He was Stacy Taylor's rep ......

Ron lived in the community of Lake San Marcos

This is very sad news.

Bain not only represented Stacy Taylor but other San Diego notables such as Ed Bieler, Lee Mirabal and Marti Emerald, among many others.

Bain was also a successful media buyer with over 40 years experience in the radio business. You could mention practically any call letters in the country and he'd give you the background.

Bain was also the GM of KSDO AM 1130 in the mid-80s. He was known for hosting very spirited holiday parties -- back then they were called Christmas parties.

Bain was famous for one-hour phone calls. I've had the pleasure, most recently about two weeks ago, of being at the receiving end of said calls.

Ron Bain will be missed.
