Ron Bergamo

I am in great shock at this time to find out that one of the great Arizona broadcasters has passed way too soon. KTAR's news report mentioned that his wife is in critical condition after an accident on their way back from Prescott.

He was a good friend and mentor to me. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and the entire AZ-TV team.

I heard it this morning also and was trying to find a story on it. What a horrible tragedy. Prayers go out for his wife's recovery, and for the comfort of the family and also the folks at AZ-TV.

My thoughts are with Ron Bergamo's family and the extended AZ-TV family.

I never met him, but had come to admire him for his real knack for on-air imaging at channel 10, and especially in the recent turn-around at AZ-TV. I hadn't known of his early success in Wichita, but found in an old West 57th. Street clip from KWCH a mini-primer in "how to do it right."
