Ron Bergamo

The broadcast community.....no, our entire community.....lost one of our most positive, enthusiastic ambassadors with the death of Ron Bergamo this past weekend. I never had the privilege and pleasure of working for or with Ron, but always felt like I did! He had that uncanny gift of always making you feel better than the moment before you saw or spoke with him. At the risk of sounding overly corny---and on this board, THAT can almost get you run out of town---Ron was one of the most loving people I ever knew. He loved broadcasting, loved what he had created at AZ TV, loved his friends and perhaps most notably, loved this community. One of the idioms I learned all too well in my years in broadcasting is that none of us are irreplaceable. I can say without a doubt in my mind that Ron Bergamo is irreplaceable, and he will be truly and deeply missed.
