Hello Everybody

Ron Chapman will be on KLUV tommorow morning after 7am. Wonder what this is all about?

He'll be bringing shears to ceremoniously cut off Jody's irritating "soul patch." ;D

lol :D

Maybe a Return To KLUV?

Personally, I'm surprised he hasn't been offered a job at KGVL.

Chapman and Brinkman working together again? That will not happen, ever.

I doubt Ron signed anything when he did Platinum, so a 'non-compete' would not apply.
BTW, Chuck and Ron ARE cordial, and exchange e-mails once in a while.
It is my understanding that Ron, absolutely, does NOT want a steady gig. I've heard him say this on more than one occasion.

Why bust John's chops? I always enjoy him on the air. I'm glad someone still does specialty programming. That's something otherwise lost on radio today. And you'd be hard pressed to find someone who knows music inside-out like he does. He, Buschardt and Brinkman should have gone on the old "Rock n Roll Jeopardy" together.

Besides, he's one of very few radio people who posts here AND under his own name AND responds to questions and any criticisms about his own station.

And glad that Chuck and Ron are OK these days. I know both just wanted the best for the station back when.

Back when I was KQZY, I participated in such a "Rock n Roll Jeopardy" against Chuck Brinkman (then of KLUV) at Bloomingdales or maybe Marshall Fields, thus giving you an idea of how long ago it was. I recall there was another jock competing in the three way trivia match. He may have been from KLDD but I'm not certain.

Needless to say, Chuck beat me to a pulp. I did come in second though and as a consolation prize got a nice pair of sneakers from the department store that I still have (but don't wear) to commemorate my near shot at fame, fortune and glory.
