Ron Jordan - Anyone Know Where He Is?

W

I'd love to locate Ron Jordan who worked many years ago in Memphis and then in Indy.
Anyone know where he is?

it seems that a while back he was driving a taxi in West Memphis.

Oh wow, that could make a heckuva thread if we started all the stunts RJ pulled on the radio!

For the life of me, I wish I could remember what he said that got him fired on air at FM100 back in the early 80's.... it was "one minute he's there, the next minute, he's gone" things.

I can't remember what he said, but it was just a symptom of some other issues Ron was trying to deal with. I think it ultimately killed his career.

And of course there were the times he slept in the WLVS transmitter room so he'd be sure to show up for work! Not to mention when he would sleep while the records were on and get nudged to wake up and do a break and play spots! Gotta feel sorry for the guy though.

Ron pulled all the same stunts up in Indy before he went back to Memphis and to FM100 in the 80s. Just would love to talk to him so that's why I posted this. I was afraid he might not still be with us anymore based on all the problems. Such a shame--what a HUGE talent. Still searching!

Wasn't it Jordan that was doing a late shift (or overnights?) for Doc back when WHBQ was oldies in the late 80s and reported that Hall and Oates were killed in plane crash? Wasn't it an April Fools joke? I hate getting old because I just can't remember all the details like I used to.

Sounds like something Ron would do...LOL. He had me help him with a bunch of stunts in Indy. Too numerous to mention and too embarrassing! Ha!

i thought it was Klein (am), Ron (midday) , then David the Worm in the afternoon or maybe it was night

Ron brokered some air time at VIM when I was ops mgr there around 93/94 and had been at the AM in Sommerville (WSTN?) when they were doing the Country/Rock format before that.
