Ron Jordan Passes

Hear WNDE's Ron Jordan sing Green Disco Shoes! I found a copy of this little ditty in the mid 80s, in a used 45s bin at Tracks or Peaches or World or some long out of business record store. I seem to recall that it was recorded at TRC in the late 70s, as a fund raiser for MDA and sold at the old Blocks department stores. The mp3 is available for a limited time @ http://www.savefile.com/files/1071755

Who was the man with the most elastic skin in the Bible? Ron Jordan gave the answer and WENS got thousands of phone calls.

Pass to a better place man!

Having listened to Ron on WINDY 1260 was great enjoyment. Listening to him on WENS when I worked there was the same.

Did he make someone's life better by being there? Guess so.

Thank you for your kind words. I am trying to find old airchecks or records (Ronnie and the DeVilles) for the kids. Ron and I had 1 son and were married 10 years. And yes al lot of people care about this has been. His 3 daughters and his son and God. Myra Jordan Curtright

Is this the same Ron Jordan that work production and air with Riley at the former Oldies 96.3/WRMX in Nashville in the early to mid 1990's????

Ned Smith: What is your problem? I hope and pray those of us in this business show you love and mercy when you lose a loved one.

Does anyone have an aircheck of his last show at WENS? I hear that show was a classic!

I was in the building and we regularly checked but don't know for sure where a copy would be.

IMO every day was a classic.

I remember a redneck characature he did when he was mornings at Windy 1260.....Lester Roadhog Jordan...some thought he was poking fun at radio evangelist Lester Roloff for a breif time. He predated Gary Burbank's Earl Pitts by only a few years.

Funny guy..I think he came in after the air staff resigned and was jockless for that one weekend beforehand.

My heart goes out to his family.
