Ron Lundy from Harry Harrison

I'm very sad to hear of the passing of my friend, Ron Lundy. We go back many years together in New York Radio. I left the WMCA Good Guys" and became a "WABC All American" in 1968. I always remembered and appreciated Ron's warm welcome to me. Our children were little then and when I brought them to the radio station for a visit, Ron would sit them on his lap and say "call me Uncle Ron" and he'd let them press buttons and play "DJ". Ron was in mid-days and I was in mornings, so we were back to back on the air on "77". Then I moved to WCBS-FM in 1980 and Ron joined me a couple of years later. Again, we were back to back for many more years. We all missed his on and off the air personality, talent and friendship when he left New York and retired to Mississippi. Ron Lundy was a great person, a super radio personality and a special friend. My sincere condolences to his wife Shirley and all the family. Harry Harrison.
