Tribute tonight, 11PM to midnight on WCBS-FM...this one's a keeper - TOO VALUABLE to miss, ESPECIALLY if you want to know ANYTHING about Top 40 radio, or even if you just want to hear a GREAT conglomeration of personalities, as there were on September 18, 1997, Ron's last day at WCBS-FM before he retired...Goodbye, luv... :'( :'(

I hear CBS-FM ran the entire hour commercial free. What a way to honor a legend.

(Granted, Sunday nights are usually a slow advertising period for radio, but that's beside the point...)

Godspeed and ... well, she said it above... :'(

Like what many others have said and posted including the NYRMB, Ron Lundy was a TRUE radio personality; he was no liner-card reader.

When you've heard Ron, you could tell he had a smile in his heart and that's what made him connect with his radio audience.

Ron willl bve missed, but never forgotton.

Thanks,
Kevin L. Sealy

:( I have heard his show when it happened, Last night I will be honest, I would not be able to sleep if I listened last night :( RIP RON!!!

Mary,

I could understand. Do you think it would've been easier to listen if that was a show from his WABC days?

Thanks,
Kevin L. Sealy
