Ron Reagan joins AM 1090

KPTK has just announced a local-hosted show from their studios, Ron Reagan hosting M-F at 5 pm. I presume it's only an hour, although the release does not make that clear.

The 5-6 pm hour became available when Rachel Maddow scaled back her Air America radio show to two hours, after getting her new show on MSNBC.

Is this not AM1090's first Seattle-originated program?

It is a "locally-hosted show" but it's not a local show.

It'll be network show on Air America originating from Seattle.

Hope Air America has the balls to say "Live From Seattle"...and not try to make it into another generic show.

Reagan is not the best choice. He's kinda bland, has no real fire. Sounds too comfortable. Talk radio needs energy! Still, better than nothing. Maybe he'll have a fabulous producer who will push him, introduce new ideas, etc.

Can tune in an hear the automation cut off Adam Gehrke's traffic reports at the end 90% of the time. Or more.

Ron Reagan is an interesting guy actually. You just don't go from president's son to biggest critic of his dad's old party's policies without some kind of retribution. He could have done it the easy way and been a yes man, but he did it the hard way and he gets my respect.
