Shortly after reaching the air tonight at WRLL (AM1690), evening host Ron Smith delivered some very interesting opening remarks. He asks the audience if their favorite station was Hi-JACK-ed this weekend, and then he asks the listener if they ever bothered to complain when 104.3 dumped their "oldies" designation and did they ever bother to complain when songs from the 80s started showing up on the playlist. If you acknowledge those changes then you shouldn`t be surprised with what happened and welcome home to Real Oldies into Whole Lot of Shakin` Goin` On by Jerry Lee Lewis.

At no time did Smith ever mention the call letters or the frequency of the station he was talking about, but it was pretty obvious who his target was.

Larry Lujack keep on say that someday thatg WRLL AM-1690
may someday to go belly-up. But I beleive that Jack FM WJMK 104.3
and a few other stations that I will NOT mention, that they're
trying to be a copy-cat by copying of of the Nine FM and The River;
by playing a mix-match format. both the Nine FM and The River
are known to be call suberban rock stations.
