Ron St. Pierre - Back in time

Looking through some old tapes I just found this rare gem. Ron St. Pierre does a voiceover at the end of the Noon News on WPRI TV. The year 1983.

Ron St. Pierre is a very fine broadcaster, with a most impressive resume. One can't help but feel sorry for what his station has reduced him to. He is now the Buddy Cianci human laugh track. Anyone that knows Ron, realizes he is not "Mr. Chuckles" as he seems on that show. He is totally miscast and you have to believe that Citadel would like to be free of that paycheck. The forced laughter at every single Buddy remark is almost painful to listen to. Ron deserves better! He would be better used in some administrative capacity, maybe even PD or GM of WPRO. He is a class guy, and I get the feeling he is just mailing it in. That is not the way to serve out the twilight of your career.

The fact that he is PD of The Score, is even more wierd. Maybe next Paul G will doing nights on their soft rock station. I repeat, Ron deserves better.

xtreme...it's like a forest in here...if they didn't see the tree fall themselves, there was no sound...may I remind you people that there have been 2 original thoughts in radio (as the axiom goes)

Is it me, or are they trying on Tom Izzo as a new co-host/laugh track. Personally, I think he's a RIOT and the young/old mix would be great on that show. I listen to Buddy on occasion, add Tom, and I'd listen daily I think.
