Ron St. Pierre out at WPRO/WEAN

What are they doing over there? That's an absolute travesty! St. Pierre was the best & last night's show was fun listening! I get the feeling WPRO will become another Cumulus birdfed chatterbox. Since WHJJ is almost all-satellite, maybe this is WALE's time to get back on the air (yeah, I know it'll probably never happen but...) & do local talk.

With the fat contract Cianci has...I can't imagine that Buddy won't be next Cumulus' budget chopping block.

Very Interesting..........this doesnt sound good....I have a feeling we heard the last of Buddy on WPRO anyway.
 
Wow.. he's been there for a while too. This will no doubt change the whole dynamic of the station. If they fired him, it now means that NOBODY is safe.
 
The stations will stay the same, they're all revenue powerhouses. People are leaving of their own accord as well. It'll just become a very quiet and empty building. Working for Cumulus is worse than not working in radio at all.

Revenue Power house.....I dont think so.Not in todays world.if that was true there wouldnt be lay offs.Ron was let go,laid off, whatever way you want to put it.
Question is........Is Cianci finished too?.......too many varibles in play for him to be on his last breath there.
He needs someone with him to carry show.Even if Ron was nt there he had someone else.

3.) Cumulus like to push thier national talant.

There will be a show off the bird really soon on Wpro during the day.

This is all true with the exception of 790 I think. I don't think it's a revenue powerhouse but haven't seen the sheets. They do have quite a bit of broken, er, brokered time on there.

Why Does Buddy need someone with him?So whats Gene going to do in the morning talk to himself?..Im not at all impressed with him full time on the radio.Ill listen still but not very entertained.
 
I think we saw the zenith of WPRO/WEAN-FM with Giammarco. Now come the waning years. If only there were competition to it in this market.

If they were bringing in that much,Why would they be laying off over the past year,Art Soares,andrew,790AM is just a Cumulous natl talk station.no staff,
