Apparently, one of my email accounts is subscribed to the old Rooster Country 106.1. I had completely forgot that they stopped sending emails right around the time they went Christmas. Anyway, today I received what appears to be one last email on behalf of the late Rooster - albeit, almost two weeks after the station officially changed formats, but hey, better late than never...
This image was on the header of the email (http://www.wrdu.com/pages/RUSH_Parts/Rush_trio_DL.jpg), and then the following text:
As you know, you are a subscriber to occasional E-mails from 106.1 RDU County. This will be the last E-mail, as 106.1 has changed formats. All future E-mails will be from RUSH RADIO 106.1 WRDU. This new station features Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glen Beck as well as many other programs, both local and national, that comprise a dynamic line-up of talk radio.
If you choose to continue to subscribe to this free service, we'll be in touch now and then with opportunities to win, notice of upcoming events and programming highlights throughout the week. We'll make every effort to be in touch only occasionally. If you wish to be on the list, do nothing, but if you wish to unsubscribe to RUSH RADIO 106.1 WRDU, click on the link in the box below.
If you'd like to only check out the website visit us at www.WRDU.COM
Take care,
Brian Taylor
Program Director
To repeat: "If you wish to be on the list, do nothing, but if you wish to unsubscribe to RUSH RADIO 106.1 WRDU, click on the link in the box below..." This must be the first time I've ever seen a radio station keep all of its old email subscribers on after a format change. But, hey, you've got to drive that traffic to your website somehow...
