"Roots of Rock" on 93.3 HD2

Unless wires are crossed and no one has noticed yet, the "House" music format is gone from 93.3 HD2. From what I can tell, they're running the "Roots of Rock" format from iHeartRadio. Does this mean 93.3 HD2 just became the default over the air home for that channel's programming?? Out of all the 100's of CC stations around the country, it sure would seem to be a STUPID place to put it when they're already running the classic rock from iHeart as Thunder on 100.7 and 103.5. I mean seriously..... WHY would you do that?

Oh and by the way, if you haven't heard how Clear Channel is getting around paying music licensing fees for the exclusive online iHeart music channels, this is how they're doing it. Every channel is OVER THE AIR somewhere in the USA.

Listened for a few minutes to catch the top of the hour legal ID on both feeds.... It was identified as WPYX-HD2 Albany on the iHeartRadio stream, which is a rock station in New York. However, over the air locally on 93.3 HD2, it did in fact ID as WFLZ-HD2 Tampa so who knows what they're doing.

Alan Lee, outa Baltimore still digs deepest to the roots of rock and roll. Everything else is an imitation.

I just got an HD radio on Saturday for the first time, and flipping through I heard this station on 93.3 HD2. Was disappointed to know/see that this was accidental. Hopefully they can bring this channel to another HD2 in the market.

Forget I said anything. They got whatever they were doing worked out. It's now Evolution 93.3 HD2 coming from iHeart Radio.
