From the Post Standard regarding Gomez & Dave vs. Stern ...

http://www.syracuse.com/search/index.ssf?/base/living-0/113161585375660.xml?syrlicny

Highlights from the article include:

- Among menages 25 to 54, for instance, "Gomez & Dave" was No. 1 in the ratings this summer with a 14.2 percent share of these listeners, compared with a 5.3 share a year ago.

- In this same demographic group, 95X dropped from a 22.4 share with Stern to 5.5 share with his replacements, Guy "Beaner" Patton and Ken Heron.

- Tom Mitchell, 95X operations manager, credits that campaign for TK's recent ratings surge. The homespun but slightly irreverent TV spots made TK seem like a "comfortable" alternative to Stern, Mitchell says.

- Mitchell argues, though, that 95X remains a better fit for listeners who want a funny and topical morning show that's "highly prepared, timed and edited."

Is this the same Tom "Russ Lasky" Mitchell who came onto this board and said Beaner and Ken would rule the world? Mitchell, how can you argue that Beaner and Ken are a better fit when they can't even pop in your demo. I see it as a 14.2 share don't give 2 flying ****s about "50-Cents Movie" (which was the only topic for your stupid morning show for the last 2 days) or Beaner and Ken. I think it comes down to you. You just don't know what to do. So, you sit behind your desk and think "At least I have Q." You are an embarrassment.

Here's the fix

Clear Channels Response Was Better

From the Post Standard regarding Sunny going all Christmas Music, Bill Larue wrote that "It happened at 8 a.m. today. WZUN-FM (Sunny 102) says it'll continue its full-time format of holiday music through Dec. 25, then switch back to adult contemporary music. Obviously, Sunny knows that WYYY-FM (Y94) gets a boost in its ratings every year by switching to holiday music during Thanksgiving week, and clearly Sunny wants a piece of that. Joel Delmonico of Y94 tells me his station still plans a holiday format this year, although the date of the switch is a secret."

Delmonico, sssssh. It's a secret. Nobody will know when it's going to happen, but when it does, watch out! because nobody will still know when it happened. Delmonico is the big idiot here. In the article he stated that it doesn't matter who does it first. That's stupid. I have another question, I had to go in there because I won a prize on B and who was that fat bald kid with the beard and why was he running the front desk? I'd like to think that Clear Channel can find better looking business people for the front desk.

Getting Fixed

A little heavy on the Toby Keith, aren't you?

I guess it would be nice from your viewpoint, but don't bet on 95X going country. Heck, if they were going country, why not keep Gomer? He'd sound the part.

Let's see who the new GM is. Then we'll have a clue.

Perhaps they didn't consider the possibility of the plural cropping up. I wonder if the same thing works for (BLEEP) and (BLEEP)?

Apparently not, huh?
