ROSEANNE BARR TRAILER COURT COMEDY TO BE ON NBC

"Trailer Court" - sounds like the kind of garbage that would be shown on Court TV, had it still been going by that name (sadly)...

Scary enough W network in Canada is still airing the show that was canned. I guess there were some extra episodes to burn off?

Following the cancellation of her potty mouth reality show, NBC has given the green light
to a new Roseanne show set in a trailer court.

It'll be good to see Roseanne stretching her acting ability. A trailer court? Definitely outside her element.

Why do the suits keep recycling the same old discarded actors in situations that would make a Florida redneck go apoplectic?

Roseanne has been rejected how many times? What part of "we never want to see your obnoxious face ever again" don't they understand?

Does her agent have photos of the suits doing the nasty with their secretaries or summat?

Probably a political message they want to get across, so that the American people who keep quiet can be even more outraged and disgusted.

I think a trailer court is her element...........like a pig in the mud.

If they can get good writing I think they can pull it off and it might be successful.

With Roseanna Barr starring in it (And NBC foolish, yet DESPERATE enough to actually AIR it), it may as well be called KANGAROO COURT

Seriously, NBC really needs to take a few pointers from TBS.....

Someone wake me when it's cancelled & replaced by another season of a REAL show like The Event.....

Cheers & 73 ;D

I'm not saying you're wrong, but Roseanne has a lot of money. She may be picking up the cost of these pilots and such herself. That save a lot of money in research and development costs

The article said this project comes with a PENALTY. I have no idea what that is, but I'd think if
ABC doesn't make it a series........maybe Roseanne gets some more money from them.

The real penalty is the networks greenlighting her crap at our expense.

As Mark said maybe she is paying to be there, which is possible, as I have heard of someone shelling out money for all kinds of advertising, just to stay afloat, plastering a name or other likeness on everything they can, so as to run an audience off. On the other hand, maybe it's a draw against future monies. The penalty could be that she has to pay ABC back if she doesn't make it.

Trailer court comedy is not necessarily a bad thing. "My Name Is Earl" won three Emmys that were given out on the air. And nominated for many more.

I wish they would bring back "Earl". It would be an instant hit.

We still have "Raising Hope". And I think the actress who plays Joy is coming back later this month.

And of course, Canada's "Trailer Park Boys" ::)
