Rosie to fill void when Oprah leaves TV

I'd rather watch Jack Hannah's Animal Adventures five days a week.

I doubt it. Everything she has touched since she "came out' and left her talk show has turned into the equivilent of "box office poison" Hosting "the view" flop. Her failed variaty show (in which she insisted on appearing in nearly every segment and singing (or caterwauling) on all the musical numbers. Flop. Her grand idea of bring a play about Boy George to Broadway in which she paid for out of her own pocket and wound up costing her millions. flopped. She needs to go back to her roots. Get a better haircut, do some stand up comedy that doesn't piss people off, make some supporting roles in movies like she used to, and check the activism at the door.

I doubt it also. She has too much baggage. I'd guess WABC, WPVI and WTVD, the east coast ABC O&Os will move Rachael Ray to 4, and then ABC Domestic will try to find/groom someone else for themselves with a launch at 10am, with the hope of it doing well and it moving to 4pm. Hopefully ABC's idea isn't to supersize The View (something NBC would do...just supersize something already existing when ideas run out).

The Hearst stations that have Oprah might also be having Ellen, so might move Ellen or Dr.Phil, depending on what they have to 4pm.

Allbritton WJLA, and Cox WSB might be on its own, expanding its news or finding syndicated.

I'm not sure what ABC would do on the west coast, but the presssure is generally more for WABC. In Chicago, WLS could pick up R&K.

Rosie on "The View" was by no means a flop...I remember the numbers hit all time highs especially during the controversies and feuds she started.

Precisely. Like it or hate it, the show really got traction when she was there, and it's held that momentum (for the most part) since.

Ever since I heard about The View being considered for first-run syndication, possibly to replace Oprah in 2011. But if this is true, does this mean that The View won't be entering the syndication market at all now?

Six months and she will be gone. The "queen of nice" schtick has gotten old. Now, she's just out to piss off as many people as possible.

This is actually the reason I would tune in! A bitter Rosie sounds like an interesting show. I'm not exactly a big Rosie fan. But she no doubt has potential. She used to be fun to watch. She might be even better now. Given the choice of watching her or Oprah, I'm going to have to pick Rosie. Less politically correct, more animated, better entertainment in my opinion.

There are a lot of options here. Oprah's syndication company will have something in hand as her contract runs down. They can't afford to let anyone else swoop in to this prime slot.

PUKE! What a total waste of time. Rosie is fat cow that needs to stay in the pasture.

I think it could work if Rosie leaves her "Lesbian Avenger" stuff at the studio door. I don't have a problem with it, I just don't want to hear about it every single day!
