rotations

Curious about rotations on some of the gold channels. On the Strobe channel, tracks like "Tragedy" (which you might expect) and "Try Jah Love" (which you might not expect) both pop up with surprising regularity. For a service that's pitching "oh wow" variety, I wouldn't think the playlists would be quite so tight....

Sirius does have pretty tight playlists for the most part. If you want a wider playlist, you should have gone with XM....They have alot more variety-but some people like the tight playlist...

this is far more than terrestrial radios 300-400 songs. So if you look at channels 5, 6 and 7, you are looking at 2500 titles for those eras. XM has larger playlists, yet some might consider them going too obscure at times. It just depends what you like. Again, Sirius goes much deeper/wider than regular radio, but not as much as XM.

OK..thanks guys...from another newbie...I now understand why the "Gold" channel seems to play the usual "hits" & nothing really very special.
A lot of the same Top 10 stuff Oldies stns used to play before they were watered down (or totally removed).
Nice stuff...but it'll prob get "old" fast.
Kind of dissapointing.

I would hope that Norm N Nite would be allowed to play the songs you hear on
the places like the "SundayOldiesJukebox" but I'm new to all this
so tomorrow I suppose I'll find out.

OK...I caught Norm's show & was very pleased to hear him playing a lot of great unique stuff...as I hoped he would! The Doo Wop show that followed was pretty good too....but maybe a weekend special thing...too early (for me) to say for sure.
