It was what it was. I wouldn't say it was terrible, but as a follow up to Howard Stern? Of course it failed miserably. It was just hard to picture Diamond Dave being so mellow and laid-back as he was on this show, so it wasn't what people were expecting. He also didn't get the show off to an auspicious start by talking to his uncle on-air in the first episode for over an hour. Obviously CBS was hoping that his name would provide all the drawing power the show needed, but the show failed to capture the interest of the Stern fanatics that were listening a month or two earlier. This show would have been fine as a companion to The Radio Chick, as the intended audience is quite similar, but as a morning show, it's no surprise that it didn't succeed.
