Rough Week For Georgia Radio History

Mary Betts, Randolph Holder's right hand for many years, Don Elliot Heald, first of WSB radio then TV,and Marcus Bartlett, perhaps the oldest living WSB alum, all gone within a week. I know most of you snappers could give a cow pie less, but these people led the way.

Actually I do care. These people did lead the way and made radio what it WAS.. Now who leads? Corps, and E.T.C. It really stinks these days. Didnt hear about Marcus Bartlett. WOW, thats really sad. WSB when I was young was a really weird station, but I was young and hated what they were playing.. But very sad week indeed.

I watched Michael Guido nightly when the local TV station signed off. Remember sign offs? When I moved thousands of miles away, there he was on a local radio station.
He had a very effective ministry.

Cow Pie? Yea, I care that much.

Half a dozen snarky to nasty posts that contributed a grand total of nothing. Unlike the individuals who have passed on and deserve more respect. Get back on your meds or we'll tell Barrack to cut off your bailout money.

Add another name to the list. Michael Guido, The Sower. His daily devotionals were groundbreaking for evangelism.

I had not heard of his passing before this. I will miss those sweet and sincere moments (of his daily devotionals.)

Sorry to hear about Ms. Betts, I enjoyed working with her.
