Rounding Up Listeners/Opinion Panel

Hi there,

I am an investor and my request is more interesting than my motivation, so I'll move on. Suffice to say, it has to do with needing original research to provide pertinent information for an investment. This is not spam!

This board is filled with comments I find valid, even though my marketing director tells me to beware the potential for fraud (people wiht agendas other than opinons on good or bad radio.)
Here is what I want to know: whether I can find 10 people on this board to listen to shows or portions of them and then post their opinions here under this post. I don't want it advertised or it to wind up in a media blog. I want to keep it as 'real' as possible.

If this sounds like work, never mind. But if it sounds fun, I'm looking for people willing to listen and COMPARE certain time slots and shows.
For example 9-2 (PM) on Sat/Sun WBZ/RKO/TKK
I'm concerned with pre 12 noon weekend mornings and evenings 7-10pm

I do need three weeks commitment in order compare shows and look for consistency in such a subjective way. I also need consistency in the format. Like this:
Station FM/AM dial number.
Time slot: Sunday night
Hosts Name:
Voice quality: Y or N
Conversation: Interesting/Not
Hosts or co-hosts: Like em? Like one of them?
Thumbs up or Thumbs Down: (Will listen again, intrigued, disgusted)
Comment: Space to say why you voted up or down, whether you like one person better than competitor.

Please keep it clean. And polite. And if this is inappropriate here, I'll try another venue and I apologize. Congratulations on paying attention to the doings at major stations. I can tell you the station GMs DO pay attention.

Bust out the checkbook slick.

To Willow, Retro and LucyLu

Fair enough. clearly I'm new to this. I can use the paid survey groups my marketing folks find (They re locked in rooms for hours) and then check this out for 'organic' feedback when I can. I really dont have the logistics down as far as getting people hourly marketing rates through a blogging board.

Can I ask does anyone know if the recent ratings referred to on this board offer a breakdown by day? So that you can see who does well Saturday mornings or Sunday nights for example?

I am sure that Arbitron offers such exhaustive breakdowns. I do not know though as I have never seen an actual book.

Yes, they do and like my opinion; they are meant for people who have paid for the service ::).

alrantok2, you have to know who you are dealing with.

1)Everyone who posts on the Boston board works out of the same office.

2)We all hate each other

3)Our program director was recently fired. We threw him overboard.

4)We are very expensive.

5)Lucylu is the prankster; Raccoon is the Republican, i'm the more cynical

6)You have to post your resume, what you want the information for, and understand that it can only be used for 90 days. rights to that intellectual property revert back to "the board members" or this board.

7)if you have complaints, she's an old cliche, but she's effictive. You must go to Helen Wait

With all due respect to Joe (a.k.a. Varulven)---I don't work out of the same Boston office. Nor do I work in BOSTON at all....although several listeners, friends, and former co-workers have indicated that I SHOULD? ;)

However, I do agree that 5 hours of listening per day should be compensated for!

Besides...when you're trapped in traffic and the radio is going, there's always the option of changing the station. When you're employed or recruited by ARBITRON or another audience ratings company to perform a service...it's customary to be paid for your free time! :-*
