Route 128 Observations:

L

My travels on the holiday included a trip along route 128 west of Boston heading toward route 93 north. Since I was already spending untold amounts of cash on gasoline anyway, I made a side trip to the WUNR/WKOX/WRCA transmitter site to observe any changes since my last visit. Voila: the house trailer is gone, and a huge, green transformer has been installed next to the suburban-style "house" in which about 87,000 watts of transmitter equipment is domiciled. As many of you may be aware, WTTT-AM has been observed NOT performing a pattern change at sunset, and in the past few months, I've been able to get a useable signal at night, but not lately. So at 8:00 pm, I tuned to 1150, and very close to 8:00 pm, its signal disappeared almost entirely...Spanish lingo was replaced by French lingo (couldn't understand either).
