Route 66 On RTV

If they keep running the episodes in original telecast order, tomorrow (Fri 08/26)
RTV will air a Route 66 episode filmed in Tucson. Its OAD was 02/09/62.

I don't know if a Tucson station carries RTV on one of its subchannels; it does air
on KAZT 7.3 Prescott/Phoenix, with the Tucson episode airing at 7 AM and 4 PM PT.

Now where's that Fugitive pilot episode? ;D

Thankx for the update. I did get up early to watch it.....and then remembered why I didn't like Route 66 back when.

I was hoping they'd show more of 1962 Tucson but the show was mostly inside scenes. The ones that were outside looked like North Stone Ave, the courthouse and desert around San Xavier Mission.

The scenes of Julie Newmar and Martin Milner wearing the motorcycle saddlebags as hats was hysterical. And, of course, George Maharis's cowboy hat was de rigueur. The bar scene where everyone was in suits and ties was sooooo Tucson as well. And I'll bet the Pima County Search & Rescue people had a good laugh at the staging of the motorcycle and horse parade.

Ah well.....Hollywood. At least we've got John Wayne and Old Tucson westerns. ;D
