Route 81

There is some scuttlebut circulating in the Hazleton area that Route 81 is looking to purchase a certain Bloomsburg FM station. Anyone hear more? Or less?

Ira is one of the great broadcasters of this era and a fabulously wealthy man.He has a Mercedes convertible! Do you?
He is simply implementing his plan of total market dominace that he has elsewhere. It has never failed.
You people need to get on board!

Hummmm...

Methinks one might need quite a bit of 'fertilizer' available in order to grow greenery from one’s cranium…

Comments?

::)

You may not like his gold chains or his mustache but Ira has turned those stations around and made them hum.Give the man his due.
He tells it like it is.You may just not be able to handle the truth!

It would take an awful lot of money for Joe Reilly to sell WHLM-FM to Route 81. And then, he would really think LONG and HARD after not having an FM all those years, when he just had WHLM 930 AM.

It would be ludicrous for WFYY-FM 106.5 to be sold from Max Media too.

Maybe they could sell WLGL 92.3 FM in Riverside.

Yes...As a matter of fact 94.3 and 1440 hum quite often...it's called a dead carrier signal. ;D
He sure has! One of 'em has been humming for almost a month straight

Route 81's Elmira/Corning stations don't seem to hum, but they need to do some marketing for themselves to take a bigger share of the market. Don't know if Ira knows how to do that or not. There is a big opening in that market for a station or group to take over the lead, is Route 81 capable?!?!?

There is more than Ira. I hear that the nepa manager is now also overseeing Corning. He's really something and if you doubt that just ask him ;)

Ira is featured in Inside Radio today bragging about a 20% increase in sales!
How does it feel to have a genius in your midst?

It isn't really a dead carrier on 1440-it's the most ingenious radio format ever created-Radio for Mimes...

We all know numbers can be twisted to portray whatever we want them to. Ask Ira, he’ll tell you that also. It shouldn’t take long either, just take a short walk down the hall and ask him.

Need an example? I could tell you I just increased sales by 20% and be telling the total truth. The part I’m not telling is the 20% increase is with Funeral Home advertising income. But if you take an overall total the real numbers may only show a modest 3% or so just like the rest of the industry.

Genius? Yes, in the sense of being able to tap dance a good numbers game. But until the company has an increase similar to Microsoft I’d hold my opinion of true genius. If that truly does happen though, I’ll be the first to concur with your seeming divine adoration of mister Ira. Until then I’ll be waiting over here watching the traffic go by… ;D

(Carry on…)

Ira certainly is a genius. No argument here about that. Just ask anybody who was involved the last time he swung through these parts.

For example: Pat Ward?
Pat is a good example. There are also many others. Watch out if Mr. Rosenblatt tries to shake your hand. Watch his other arm. It's probably ready to put a knife in your back while he has you distracted. Kinda reminds you of a cobra. They look directly into your eyes to gain your trust and then WHAM.

You people are pathetic!CBS lays off hundreds,Emmis 46 and Rt. 81 lays off NO ONE because Ira knows what he is doing.
It's a shame that he is not running these bigger companies!
