Rover getting a home studio?

I heard through the grapevine that Triv was complaining on his show recently (what's new) that "a yet-to-be-named morning show in our cluster" will be getting a studio in the star's home.

Anyone heard anything about this?

who would really care........

even more....who cares anymore about TRIV's rants....

he needs to get over himself........OR he will become yesterday's news....

BTW...a "home Studio" ,. in these technical times, could be as simple as an isdn line and some remote gear....

if true.....much ado about nuttin...

Well, Triv would like a home studio but there ain't enough lumber in the world to build one large enough to hold him and his ego. Besides, the food pantry they'd have to build for him would have to be bigger then the studio. Hell, when he drives by a pasture, the cows get nervous and run to the other side of the field because they're afraid he might be hungry. :p

But Triv has broadcast from his home before. He's used an ISDN line when giving his comments on the Browns pregame show (on the WMMS/network side) and when he hosted the Browns postgame show on WTAM during the 99-00 season.

Why he's never had a specific home studio built for the show, I'll never really know... because CC likely would be able to foot the bill for it, no? Or does this feed into the phony-baloney act that IS Triv?

It would be better if CC didn't pick up the bill. That way Triv could write off the gear, the room, part of the electricity, heat and internet. And the gear would depreciate year to year.

Only thing I'd have CC pick up is the installation cost and monthly cost of the ISDN lines.

Better to own your own gear. IF at some time Triv is no longer with CC, he owns the gear.

The ISDN lines will already be run. Just would then need to pay the monthly bill for them.

I'm pretty sure they're giving Rover the UN-used FM-1 Air Studio at Oak Tree......

It's in the hall between MMS and TAM....

Had been for the most part empty since CC entered Oak Tree.

I believe there had been plans to put WHLO there back in 2005 or so.

Makes sense to dangle it in front of Rover as incentive when they were negotiating.

Also.......let MWL keep his own "area".

There's no-way CC Cle is gonna foot the bill for ANY home studio for ANY one.

Is that the same studio that gets used for the Browns and Indians radio network? Don't they operate the networks separate than the main 'TAM or 'MMS control rooms?

No.....the only thing it's used for is Rado's Grade-A, Hilarious Parody bit production.

Triv-Star, anyone?

haha.. that sounds like the lame jokes rover used to tell. Excpet you didnt have some annoying broad interrupting you in the middle of it. Is that you, Shane?

Clear Channels "Oak Tree" studio is in the 'Arthur G Mckee/ Davey McKee' building. The building was designed in 1970 and built in 1971 as McKees world headquarters, for 1 million. It was the first "high rise" in Independence and opened up development of that entire area!

Looks pretty good for a 37 year old building! That building would cost 50 million to duplicate today and it would not be constructed as well.
