Found this job opening notice on R & R. Sounds like Rover's getting desperate.

Head Comedy Writer
Rover’s Morning Glory, Chicago’s morning show on 105.9 WCKG FREE FM, is searching for a Head Comedy Writer. Write jokes, parodies, and develop topics and content. Think quickly and make topics from politics to sex FUNNY! This is an off-air position....

Isn't that the job that they're having that <a href "http://www.makeroverlaugh.com">contest</a> for?

This opening has been around for awhile...guess he's taking Infinity's advice and trying to do the whole Howard/Jackie The Jokeman-thing.

I'm thinking Rover actually has some radio instinct/talent, as compared to Roth, and is hungry enough, as compared to Carolla, but he should try and just do what feels natural.

If having a writer feels natural, go for it. If not, don't listen to what the executives at corporate are telling him.

Roth has said in the past that his GM/PD/consultant are telling him be like Stern and get a 'Robin' and a 'Gary,' so I'm assuming Rovers' bosses are telling him the same, except maybe 'get a Jackie.'

Who knows, not me for sure, but it seems that way.
