OK, so that wasn't the real CLEVELAND BROWNS tight end AARON SHEA or any other NFL player, for that matter, but it didn't prevent several morning shows on RADIO ROW at SUPER BOWL XL to interview the gentleman making the rounds with an entourage anyway.
The impostor turned out to be CBS syndicated morning man ROVER's sidekick DIETER, who provided rather bizarre answers to the questions posed by shows camped out for the week at RENAISSANCE CENTER, comparing carrying a football to "grabbing breasts" and suggesting that the BROWNS "need more white guys on the team." The stunt was covered on CBS affiliate WOIO-TV/CLEVELAND's evening news.
I know Dieter played ball at Mount Union (as did I). Is he big enough to pass for a NFL tight end? A few years ago I could at least pass for a NFL linebacker @ 6'1" 235 (played for the Cleveland Lions '89-92).
A NFL tight end is AT LEAST 6'3" 240 these days. Would anyone be that easily fooled?
Just curious...GO MUC PURPLE RAIDERS!
