That's fine, but reading his ramblings on this thread are borderline lunacy. I am not sure Mr. Henderson why you are getting so upset I don't really think the poster is try to undermind or discredit you but find out about your station in The Woodlands. Heck I would love to find out more about your station, it's just a shame that I live in Porter and can't hear it. Please Mr. Henderson your not helping yourself talking about electronic "stalking" that's something you do on a website that requires a credit card number.

Welcome Mr X!!
I will see if I can help in some of your questions....
As someone who is knowledgable in broadcasting, here are some facts to consider:
1) His station is not licensed to The Woodlands but to Hempstead
2) It will NEVER cover The Woodlands
3) If there is any doubt, you can check the 60dbu coverage on the FCC web site:
http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/FMTV-service-area?x=FM287631.html Currently licensed OR
http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/FMTV-service-area?x=FM1133347.html Construction Permit
Remember the 60dbu is the 1mV or protected service contour...it is NOT the city grade or 3.16mV level required for table top radios, etc. With 104.9 in downtown Houston and other signals as they currently are licensed, there is no way KTWL will never be upgraded to cover The Woodlands.

I don't believe anyone is attacking or stalking you but is simply trying to get information. Why does someone have to call you to get information? Why don't you just tell us about your station? I read on the FCC website that your application has been approved to raise your tower. Are you doing that to improve the signal in The Woodlands?
rrgroup said:As technically intelligent as "CW" appears to be, I am sure he would validate information my 35 years experience and the experience and training of our Registered Professional Engineer and would confirm that:
1. Line of site availability is extremely important in the propagation of an FM signal and that our proposed taller tower accomplishes this.
2. That the 60 dbu contour he refers to is nothing more than the F.C.C. "protected" contour and that in today's world and quality of receivers, FM radio station "listenable" signals are received with as little as a few microvolts of signal...a signal that goes WELL beyond his depicted contour (The Woodlands).
It is our view that The Woodlands will be served quite well when our project is complete. Enough to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in a modern antenna, tower, transmitter, and all related material.

Yesterday (July 14) I listened to KTWL 105.3 in my car while parked in the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion parking lot in The Woodlands at 7:20 PM and 11:20 PM. On both occasions the signal was strong and there was no static.

Well, I have keen ears, whereas most listeners do not. I notice that it's a little distant, but I would be willing to say that listeners most likely don't notice. Not 100% perfect, of course it's not going to be, but yes, it's "good",and very listenable... I'll put it to you this way... if I had a business in The Woodlands... I would advertise on it.
edit:I'm not affiliated with Mr. Henderson or KTWL in any way... just wanted to get that out there.
